Typography (The good and the ….not so good)

I was just browsing websites with Google and came across a really bad typographic website. The link to this site is http://chandra.harvard.edu/

This site to me, seems like there is too much going on and condensed onto the homepage.  Most of the type is the same size and harder to read and you really have to strain your eyes just trying to read it.  I don’t have an eyesight problem at all, the problem is that the typing is too condensed and not enough spacing.

This site is organized greatly and the smooth related colors used for different parts of the background makes this website easy on the eyes and very appealing. Looking at this site sort of pulls you in to really check out this site.

Forgetting Things

I tend to forget alot right at this point in my life. I don’t know how or why. I am only 23 turning 24. The only reasonable explanation I could think of would probally be the level of stress that I deal with. People might want to know how a 23 year old can have stress at such a “Young age”. Well I know work is one and family is also another part of it. Is that a good enough for a reason?

Stressed From Work Today

I absolutely hate getting stressed out. Specially if its from the job and you get the heat from doing something wrong that is not your fault at all. The supervisors see something not right and just want to point the finger at the closest person to them.

The 2nd Post

Let’s see….. Does anyone like to snowboard? I have been snowboarding off and on since 2000 and  have no plans to ever stop until  something unfortunate comes about.

Not sure what to blog about but I am guessing whatever we want. Does anyone watch “Ghost hunters?” If you have not heard of this before, then I guess I can tell you it’s a show on the Sci-fi channel that purposely tries to capture a ghost or spirit’s presence in any way shape or form. I am a skeptic and need to see something before I believe it. This show is there for the skeptics.

Stinky Site

If I can think of a site off the top of my head right now that is stinky, It would without a doubt be www.myspace.com. This site is not to my liking at all.

One reason being that you have to figure out html code to make your site look somewhat appealing to others. There are special sites to help you out with this by having it done for you by someone else but it may not be to your liking. Another reason is that people will add you as a friend of theirs. Now there would be nothing wrong with this if they happen to be the person they say they are. Most of these people that try to add you as a friend are in fact, A fake site that promotes you to another site.

I think Myspace should just come up with a better filter to get rid of this sort of thing. Its quite annoying to me.

9/17/07 blog

This is my second blog this semester and I am going to use it to tell you about a site worth checking out, that is if you don’t already know about it. The site is www.youtube.com. Now if you have not heard about this site by any chance, it is a website that allows you “the user” post your own videos on their site for other people on the web to look at.

That is not what I use it for though, I like to view people doing stupid things and getting hurt doing them. Not seriously hurt though. You can also catch previews of new movies also. I have also seen some movies I haven’t seen in years on there as well.

The first mandatory blog for me

This is Richard and I am a little tired right now from a normal ten hour day at work followed by this long 3 hour class….. :X Not sure what to exactly type right.. I guess I can say that I am into poker quite a bit. Snowboarding is a must for me every winter.

So this will be it for my first blog.
